You reported this issue to SDE scam buster and I
dully replied them. You are making noise over a non
issue and until you comply with our terms, I am sorry
there is nothing I can do.
Here is the response I gave scam buster:
I am not sure I can completely
trace the records of this particular
transaction in whole, but the most
important record is on file.
Before I attach that particular
record and explain why this person
might be aggrieved, let me make a
few things clear.
1. I know that issues of domain names
and webhosting can be sensitive and
so we always take extra care with such
issues.
Where in cases like this however, the
customer refuses to do what is expected,
our hands are tied and there is nothing
we can do but wait.
2. There is no record of complaint from
this person on file. The website has a
support system and for the sake of record,
and to avoid errors, we do not treat SMS.
I can't explain but it seems he never really
contacted us using the right channel on
the website in question.
(He even clearly stated that I reffered
him to the right channel but he failed to
do it. Was it not on the same website that
he did the deposit notification for the
domain? Was it not on the same website that
he contacted me about the re-choosing of the
domain (attached in the note). Why is he
suddenly unable to request support?)
3. We are not domain name registrars. We only
assist in registering domain names because
we know our customers will have difficulty
with registering and setting up their domains.
a. Because of the exact issue he mentioned here,
we always mandate (starting sometime in 2008)
that all customers take back their domain names
before we release further details.
b. We keep a watchful eyes on scams and spams
& in the past have had to go tough on bad guys
using our hosting platform. If our details are
left on the domains, the public will think we
are the ones operating the scam so we Mandate
that all domains be taken by the owner which
the person in question never did.
4. When a domain name is registered (check
any platform anywhere in the world), the
registering company by default in most cases
will put a default information on that domain.
(not all the time anyway)
This is what he is considering to be a
monetization scheme.
5. He talks about me refunding the money made
through monetization. May I now make it clear
that for monetization to occur on a domain,
there has to be visitors. How can I make money
from a domain that was never promoted?
If he is bent on the claim that I actually
made money from the domain, let him send proof
that he actually sent visitors to the domain &
if he is still unsure, I operate a straight
forward outfit, he can come and investigate
the domain account to see if trully there is
money inside.
6. I am not a domain registrar and cannot
control the terms of service as stated on the
domain registrar website. There are specific
rules about domain registration. One of it is
the fact that domains are registered for a
period. In this case the domain was done for
one year. The job was done.
The domain is still there lying fallow! What
will I be doing with his domain when I have
over a dozen of mine?
7. He cannot add to his hosting fee. We are
not taking his website. We stopped operations
a long time ago. The contract he paid for
will expire this Dec. We shall uphold our end
of the contract till that time when we expect
him to find an alternative.
8. We do not illegally obtain money from people.
Yes, we are not saints and there are issues once
in a while but we try as much to resolve them.
In this case, the customer in question did not
help us at all in resolving the matter!
Here is the copy of the email we sent to him as
far back as Dec. 22nd and a copy of the response
he sent when we could not register the first domain
he sent in.
So far, the email I am getting from scambuster is
the only response I have gotten:
